After a tough 2-1 loss at Purdue on Friday, Northwestern needed to regroup.
The Wildcats had just dropped another game they could have won, and their position in the top half of the Big Ten was slipping after a three-game winless streak. As players with bruised expectations searched for answers, coaches called for a team meeting Saturday.
Whatever they said, it worked. NU earned its biggest win of the season Sunday, knocking off No. 16 Indiana 1-0 on a first-half goal by junior Kelsey Hans.
