After cruising through the regional tournament, Northwestern women’s tennis dominance gets tested today and Friday at the ITA Indoor Championships in Columbus, Ohio.
Senior Cristelle Grier and junior Alexis Prousis will compete for the indoor title.
At the midwest regionals, Prousis defeated Grier for the singles title. The junior won the match 7-5, 6-3, and never trailed her teammate.
In doubles, the pair teamed up to dominate competition.
Northwestern now has won both the midwest regional singles and doubles titles two years in a row.
The Wildcats also have been successful in the ITA championships.
Last season then-freshman Audra Cohen won the indoor singles title.
