Column lacks perspective
When I pick up The Daily and read a column, I expect it to be a well-read opinion that will provide valuable insights on recent political, economic or social events.
After reading Jeff Rice’s Friday column, however, I felt rather slighted — namely because Rice’s unoriginal suppositions only degraded an otherwise baseless commentary. On account of his bromidic observations, Rice’s attempt to cause the reader to “question whatever positions and beliefs they might hold” only ends up casting doubt on his own competence as Daily columnist.
