The longer I’ve been at Northwestern, the more I realize how obsessed I am with the trivial. An example: I have spent the last few days sifting through hundreds of Course and Teacher Evaluation Council surveys, trying to find one that described the perfect professor, the perfect class.
But this weekend something made me realize these trivialities were just that. I was talking to my girlfriend’s parents, and they told me they didn’t think it was safe for her to visit me in Evanston.
