Northwestern picked up its third and fourth transfer portal additions, as former Syracuse forward Jasmyn Cooper and former Boston College guard Lily Carmody announced their commitments on Instagram Thursday and Saturday, respectively.
Cooper played in 24 of 33 games for the Orange as a freshman, averaging 3.3 points and 2.1 rebounds per game on 53.7% field goal shooting. She is the second player from Syracuse’s 2025 recruiting class to transfer to the Wildcats, joining guard Camdyn Nelson.
A 6-foot-1-inch forward from North Easton, Massachusetts, Cooper was the 101st-ranked player in the 2025 recruiting class and a three-star recruit, according to 247Sports.
She played 16 minutes in Syracuse’s Round of 32 loss to UConn in the NCAA Tournament, recording two rebounds and a turnover, and has three years of eligibility remaining.
NU already landed commitments from Nelson and former Kentucky guard Lexi Blue last week to start coach Carla Berube’s first transfer class with the ’Cats.
Carmody started 29 games for the Eagles as a sophomore, leading Boston College in scoring with 12.8 points per game. Her scoring jumped from 6.6 points per game as a freshman at Butler, where Carmody appeared in 31 games with 14 starts.
The 5-foot-11-inch guard also averaged 3.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists and a team-high 1.4 steals per game, shooting 47.2% from the field.
A Melbourne, Australia, native with two years of eligibility remaining, Carmody joins current junior forward Crystal Fuqu Wang, freshman guard Amparo López and freshman forward Sandra Moreno as international players for the ’Cats.
NU’s roster for next season now stands at 14 players, with eight returners, four transfers and two incoming recruits, leaving one open spot the ’Cats could fill.
