Sunday’s free Lunar New Year festival was organized by Evanston ASPA (Asian, South Asian, Pacific Islander American) and the Main-Dempster Mile, and took place in Evanston SPACE. The event featured a traditional lion dance performance, meant to bring good luck and fortune into the New Year, as well as community booths, storytime and songs from the Evanston Public Library.
