Blotter: Apartment burglary, slashed tires

A 58-year-old Evanston woman reported items stolen from her apartment located on Sherman Avenue. She told police yesterday that the incident occurred Saturday between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m.

The Evanston woman returned to her apartment to find the door unlocked. Several items were missing, including her state ID, a key fob and 50 DVDs with an estimated value of $500.

Investigators are looking into obtaining video footage of the incident, Evanston Police Cmdr. Brian Henry said. There are no suspects at this time.

Criminal damage to property

A 32-year-old Evanston woman reported to police yesterday that all four tires on her car had been slashed.

The 2013 Chevrolet was reportedly parked at 800 Sherman Ave. when the Evanston woman discovered the damage. She told police that the incident occurred yesterday between 1:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.

There are no suspects at this time.
