A pharmacy worker reported the event at 1:41 p.m. Wednesday, as the man left the store. Witnesses did not see the direction he went after exiting.

No arrest has been made at this time.

Traffic accident arrest

A 66-year-old Evanston man involved in a traffic accident was arrested because he did not have a valid driver’s license or valid insurance on the vehicle.

The driver was arrested Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the scene of the accident. He was issued an I-Bond and will spend no time in jail. Henry said the traffic misdemeanor case will be passed on to a Second District Court judge.

Retail theft arrest

A 47-year-old Evanston woman was arrested Wednesday for retail theft.

The woman allegedly stole $139 of merchandise from Walgreens, 900 Dodge St., on July 26, 2019. At the time of the crime, an employee took photos of her and her vehicle, which were used to identify her.

Police had given her time to turn herself in. After she did not, police obtained a warrant for her arrest.
