Clare Proctor, Assistant City Editor

An Evanston resident reported that her wallet had been stolen from her coat pocket while she was at Sketchbook Brewing Company, 821 Chicago Ave., Tuesday evening.

The woman received a notification from her bank that her account had been frozen because of a $600 charge to her credit card at the Target on Sherman Avenue. She then noticed that her Fossil wallet, valued at $50, was missing.

The woman told Evanston Police Department officers that her wallet contained three credit cards, a debit card, a photo identification card and $100 in cash.

EPD Cmdr. Ryan Glew said there is no one in custody. There is security footage from the brewery, but the owner was not on the scene to access it, he said.

License plate stolen from driveway

An Evanston resident reported Tuesday that her rear license plate was stolen from her car, which was parked in her driveway in the 1700 block of Dodge Avenue.

The woman noticed that the license plate was missing from her green 2008 Honda CR-V and reported the incident at 10:12 p.m., Glew said.

Glew said the woman would like the EPD to find the license plate and pursue the individual, but there is no suspect and no one in custody.
