Weinberg senior Angelica Wilson died Friday, according to an email Dean of Students Todd Adams sent out to the Northwestern community late Friday night.

Wilson was from Los Altos, California, and was majoring in Biology. She was involved in Greek life on campus, in addition to the Refresh Dance Crew, the Northwestern Community Development Corps and the UNITY Charity Fashion Show, the email said.

She died at around 1 p.m. in Evanston, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office. The cause of death has not yet been released.

Evanston police Cmdr. Ryan Glew confirmed that EPD is currently investigating the death of the NU student. He told The Daily no foul play is suspected.

In an email to Panhellenic Association members Saturday, the PHA executive board shared the news of Wilson’s death “with great sorrow” and offered support to the community.

“We are here for you and want to support you in any way we can,” the email said. “As always, we hope that we can lean on each other during these hard times.”

This story was updated at 12:33 p.m. Saturday with information from the Evanston Police Department and Northwestern Panhellenic Association.
