Two vehicles collided at the intersection of Simpson Street and Central Park Avenue on Thursday night, and one driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The accident happened after one vehicle, traveling westbound on Simpson, allegedly failed to stop at a red light and collided with a vehicle traveling northbound on Central Park, Evanston police Cmdr. Ryan Glew told The Daily in an email. Both vehicles were towed and sustained major damage.

The accident doesn’t appear to be alcohol or impairment related, Glew said.
