Updated: Police: Man shot near Chicago-Evanston border

A 24-year-old man was shot early this morning near the Chicago-Evanston border, according to police.

The man was shot once in the arm at about 1:15 a.m. in the 7400 block of North Rogers Avenue, Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said. The man is in stable condition at St. Francis Hospital, 355 Ridge Ave.

CTA spokeswoman Lambrini Lukidis said a bus driver found a gunshot victim at about the same time near the Howard Street station, 7551 N. Paulina St. The station is a block north of North Rogers Avenue in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood.

Greer and Lukidis had no further information.
