Northwestern freestyler Jordan Wilimovsky continued his success outside the pool today as he finished in 14th place in the 25-kilometer event at the FINA World Championships.
Representing the U.S., the rising sophomore posted a time of 4:49:11.1, just less than two minutes behind the winner in the open water race. At the Split 7 mark, Wilimovsky was in seventh place after hanging around toward the back of the pack for most of the event.
Wilimovsky was one of two U.S. swimmers to finish in the top 15 in the race, which was held in Barcelona, Spain.
