Burglar steals purse, jogging pants
An Evanston resident reported losing $400 worth of property due to a burglary Tuesday.
The thief removed a pink purse and several items of clothes, including jogging pants and jeans, from a residence in the 2100 block of Darrow Avenue, said Evanston Police Department spokesman Jay Parrott. There was no forced entry to the house.
Thief slashes screen, takes TV
A burglar stole a TV from an Evanston residence Tuesday.
The thief gained entry through a slashed kitchen window screen of an apartment in the 500 block of Hinman Avenue, Parrott said. The resident reported loss of a 40-inch Phillips flat-screen TV worth about $500, Parrott said.
