Evanston woman allegedly threatens other woman
A 19-year-old woman allegedly verbally threatened a 28-year-old woman, said Evanston Police Department spokesman Cmdr. Jay Parrott.
The dispute occurred at about 9:30 p.m. Monday in front of a residence in the 1800 block of Ashland Avenue. The women, both Evanston residents, were arguing about a relative of the 19-year-old, Parrott said.
“Could be a little drama,” Parrott said.
The 19-year-old fled the scene before police arrived.
Graffiti found on sign
Some “indiscernible writing” was found scribbled on a “No Thru Traffic” sign Monday in the 1000 block of Florence Avenue, Parrott said. The culprit used a blue marker and has not yet been identified by police.
