Woman struck in the face
An Evanston resident reported being battered Sunday afternoon.
The woman was serving food at the soup kitchen at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1004 Greenwood St., when another woman allegedly struck her in the face, said Perry Polinski, communications coordinator for the Evanston Police Department. The alleged attacker had black hair and wore a long brown coat.
Man charged with disobedience to police
Evanston Police arrested a man Sunday morning in connection with disobedience to police.
Police responded to a suspicious person call and found the 27-year-old stumbling in the street in the 2200 block of Dempster Street, Polinski said. Police gave the man verbal commands, but he appeared intoxicated and did not comply, Polinski added.
The man will appear in court April 6.
