Scooters stolen from north Evanston
Someone stole two mo-peds worth a combined $6,000 from an Evanston residence Friday.
Residents in the 2500 block of Lincoln Streetreported the burglar removed the doorknob to their garage, Evanston Police spokesman Cmdr. Tom Guenther said. The burglar took a 1961 golden Vespa mo-ped and a red Honda mo-ped.
Police recovered the Honda mo-ped at North Shore Towing, 2527 Oakton St.
Gutters taken from Evanston house
Someone stole gutters from a house in the 1100 block of Brummel Street on Jan. 20. The residents reported the theft Saturday, Guenther said.
