Evanston police cite NU students for drugs
University Police officers cited two Northwestern students Sunday for unlawful possession of cannabis near 566 Lincoln St., Deputy Chief Daniel McAleer said.
Officers arrived shortly after 4:20 p.m. after receiving a report of two men smoking marijuana.
The students admitted to smoking the Schedule I drug and provided officers an apple they had converted into a “makeshift pipe,” McAleer said.
McAleer also said officers observed cannabis residue inside the apple and asked the students to either destroy it or throw it away.
