Woman steals hair extensions from beauty supply store in Evanston
A woman stole $200 worth of hair extensions Tuesday from an Evanston beauty supply store, police said.
After taking the extensions at 11:22 a.m., the woman fled on foot from the store, Howard Beauty Supply, 1123 West Howard St., Evanston Police Cmdr. Jay Parrott said. The incident may have been caught on video tape, he said.
Bag stolen from Home Depot shopping cart
A person stole a woman’s bag from a Home Depot shopping cart Wednesday afternoon, Parrott said.
The Evanston resident said she was in the parking lot of Home Depot, 2201 Oakton St., when she realized her bag was missing and called police. She couldn’t provide a description of the offender.
Burglar steals laptops, money from locked Chicago Ave. residence
A burglar stole two laptops and $20 from a residence on the 1400 block of Chicago Avenue Monday, Parrott said.
The victim left the residence locked at 9 a.m. and returned at 8 p.m. to find the items missing. The residence was locked and there was no sign of forced entry.
