THE REAL:
Golden Globe winners shock … well, no one. Sunday night’s award show brought in few surprises – unless they came from host Ricky Gervais, whose personalized, relentless and (let’s face it) truthful jokes won’t be earning him an invite back any time soon. But at least viewers had something to hold their attention as “Glee” and The Social Network predictably swept the board.
Snooki’s literary masterpiece not flying off the shelves. Even though the “Jersey Shore” star’s new book, A Shore Thing, has all the makings of a best seller – “hot guidos, cool clubs, fried Oreos, and lots of tequila,” according to the back cover – it is somehow flopping at #591 on Amazon’s sales chart. Guess Jersey Shore fans just aren’t the reading type.
A.J. McLean of the Backstreet Boys enters rehab again. But don’t worry: According to a personal statement, it won’t affect the upcoming tour with New Kids on the Block. He just wants to be at his healthiest, singing-and-dancing best for the Backstreet Boys’ comeback. Here’s to a speedy recovery!
THE RAUNCHY:
All of Hollywood is knocked up. Adding to the already burgeoning list, five new pregnancies were announced this week. Say congratulations to new moms-to-be Kate Hudson, Tia Mowry, Selma Blair, Jewel and Alicia Silverstone. Anyone else think there might be something in the water?
Nadya “Octomom” Suleman stars in a fetish film. Let’s just say it involves the infamous mom of eight, a whip and a grown man wearing a diaper. And it’s coming to an adult film store near you.
THE RUMORED:
Anne Hathaway cast as Catwoman. The Dark Knight Rising casting rumors have been flying around for months, and one name has finally risen above the chaos: Anne Hathaway reportedly beat out several big-name actresses for the role. She also recently landed a gig on “Glee” as Kurt Hummel’s lesbian aunt. Granted, there was less competition for that role, seeing as she made it up herself. But still.
Lady GaGa’s shops for her next music video controversy: transsexuals. Shooting starts next week for GaGa’s “Born This Way” video, and sources say that her peeps were on the scene at a transsexual party for a bit of casting. We’ll be waiting with our irony detectors.
Kanye West reportedly playing a gay man in new movie. A source writes, “Kanye has signed on to do some acting in a flick about a GAY jazz band in 1939. He plays a GAY band member, and there is EXPLICIT gay sex in this movie.” Okay source, we will GAY wait for GAY confirmation.
