Expletive keyed on side of visitor’s car

An NU visitor reported property damage to his car Thursday, police said.

The visitor called the police and informed a UP officer that between 4 and 6 p.m. Wednesday, someone keyed his 1999 BMW Z3 parked in the lot next to Cook Hall, 2220 Campus Drive.

The visitor told police over the phone that someone had written an expletive as well as a U-shaped mark about 4 to 5 inches wide on the driver’s side of the car, McAleer said.

Because the report was conducted over the phone, police are unable to confirm the incident, but McAleer said police provided the victim with a case number.
