Two men stole a woman’s purse Sunday night as she walked past Walgreens, police said.
The woman was walking down the 600 block of Hinman Avenue behind Walgreens, 635 Chicago Ave., at about 9 p.m. Sunday when two men grabbed her from behind and asked for her purse, Evanston Police Cmdr. Tom Guenther said. The men took it from her and walked away. The woman was not injured, and she told police her attackers had no weapons, Guenther said.
The two men were both wearing hooded sweatshirts and jeans. Guenther said he could not specify whether or not the police had leads.
