Alleged drug dealer arrested for felony intent to deliver
Detectives from the Evanston Police Department’s Neighborhood Enforcement Team busted an alleged drug dealer after executing a search warrant at 1806 Lake St. on July 21 at approximately 6:12 p.m., Commander Tom Guenther reported in an EPD press release.
The search warrant was the result of a lengthy, multi-level investigation, he said. At the residence, detectives uncovered large amounts of narcotics throughout the house, including 6,670 grams of cannabis, 1.4 grams of crack cocaine, two digital scales and two boxes of sandwich bags.
Martin Train Artega of 1806 Lake St. Evanston was charged with a misdemeanor for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, a felony for unlawful possession of a controlled substance, a felony for unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver and a felony for unlawful possession of cannabis.Lawn mower, license plate missing after possible theft
A lawn mower and license plate are missing after an unknown subject took the unsecured mower from the front of a residence in the 1600 block of South Boulevard, the Evanston Police Department reported.
The crime happened July 25 at approximately 8 p.m. No information has been reported on the thief.
