Car and electronics stolen from unlocked house
Someone stole electronic equipment and a car from a house Tuesday night after the homeowner left it unlocked, Evanston police said.
Electronic equipment, including an iPod, was taken from the kitchen counter and living room of the house on the 2200 block of Grant Street, Evanston Police Cmdr. Tom Guenther said.
The owner’s car keys were also taken, and the car was stolen, Guenther said.
Police are still investigating the incident, Guenther said.
Bike stolen from home on Main Street earlier in week
A bicycle was stolen Tuesday or Wednesday from 802 Main St., police said.
The owner left the brown multi-gear Trek bike on the back porch, Guenther said.
Police have no suspects.
