Hotel Orrington, 1710 Orrington Ave., will be converted into a Hilton hotel over several months and will be renamed the Hilton Orrington.
Los Angeles-based lender Mesa West Capital has provided a $14.5 million loan to Greenfield Partners, which owns the hotel, as a first mortgage refinancing.
“The ownership believes they can pick up on revenue and increase value,” said Seth Levin, an associate at Mesa West. “They’ll pick up on the reservation system and increase marketing and awareness.”
Levin said the hotel should be running as a full-service Hilton in several months and will not close during the conversion process. The process will consist mainly of rebranding and will not bring many changes, he said.
The Hotel Orrington opened in 1923. It offers 269 rooms and suites, a cafe and restaurant, a 24-hour fitness room and a 12,000-square-foot conference center.
