For a University with its own so-called ‘Comedy Mafia,’ Northwestern is teeming with self-effacing students quick to write off the organic comedic timing of their day-to-day lives. While just more than half of the students surveyed at Norris responded with a resounding ‘Hell YES’ to whether or not their life was the material of sketch comedy fodder, an almost equal amount abashedly replied, ‘I wish.’ Others replied their lives wouldn’t be funny ‘as a solo act,’ but another wrote off the humorless, advising her peers to ‘find more light in their lives.’
