Two roommates’ Mac laptops stolen from CRC on Wednesday
Two Northwestern students reported a burglary from Communications Residential College, 1855 Sheridan road., Wednesday afternoon, police said.
The students, who are roommates, left their laptops in their first-floor room. The computers were stolen while the students spent time in a common area of CRC, University Police Deputy Chief Dan McAleer said.
The laptops, a black MacBook and a silver MacBook Pro, were stolen from the students’ desks. One of the students was able to provide a serial number, which police have entered into their database.
Police reviewed video surveillance but noticed no suspicious persons, McAleer said.
Locked $300 bicycle stolen between Allison, Shepard
A male NU student reported a missing bicycle worth more than $300 Wednesday evening, police said.
The student secured the black and gray mountain bike with a cable lock, only to find it missing an hour later, McAleer said.
The bicycle was secured between Shepard Residential College and Allison Hall. Some of the student’s friends who were near the bicycle rack did not notice anything suspicious, McAleer said.
The student was unable to provide a make or serial number, police said.
