Tuesday 01

Today was the first day of my field studies internship. My co-workers forgot to pick me up at reception, so I sat there for 30 minutes twiddling my thumbs until they showed up. Later, I got lost going to the bathroom. I then looked through a pile of magazines for adult diaper ads, pretty entertaining. After a day alone in my cubicle, coming home to eight girl roommates was a little much.

Wednesday 02

I got to work and there was a long discussion about last night’s American Idol episode. Tuesday I had overdressed a lot for work, but I think I perfected the casual dress code today. At 4 p.m. I went to a major TV network’s presentation. There was great food, an open bar and free gifts for everyone! At night I chilled out and saw a movie with my boyfriend.

Thursday 03

I hurried through my assignments at work and left the office early so I could start my weekend! I did some extreme lounging for a while and then started getting ready. I went to an off-campus pre-game with my girlfriends and then the Deuce. We had been really excited to sing karaoke and were pretty disappointed when we got there and found out that they moved it to Tuesdays.

Friday 04

I met my friends for lunch to recap the events of the night before. At night I pre-gamed off-campus and then cabbed downtown. We were dressed pretty nicely for the first bar, so when we ran in our “going out clothes” into Lou Malnati’s, which was filled with parents and kids, because we had to pee so badly, we looked ridiculous. Exhausted, we headed back to Evanston.

Saturday 05

I spent the afternoon helping my friend deal with ghosts of relationships past. We picked up her heels from one frat and dropped off another boy’s sweatshirt at his off-campus apartment. Then we went downtown to retrieve her credit card and close her tab from the night before. By nighttime, we couldn’t muster the energy to go out, so we just put in a movie and picked up some junk food.

Sunday 06

I went to the gym with a friend, then headed to brunch at Flattop – it was all-you-can-eat for six bucks if you wore your Greek letters! After a plate of fruit and muffins, an omelet and pancakes, I got back in bed to digest. I got to bed early to prepare myself for another workweek.

Monday 07

Got up at 7:15 a.m., begrudgingly. I presented some of my work from last week to a higher-up at the company. I met the CEO, who’s a cool dude. After chapter, I headed up to a frat to watch the men’s basketball championship with my boyfriend and his friends. We got pretty drunk, but didn’t make it to The Keg.
