ASG’s restaurant guide, a service allowing students to search for and review Evanston and Chicago restaurants since 2003, might be expanded in the coming months, ASG president Jonathan Webber said.
The database lists Evanston restaurants by the type of food they serve and provides addresses, prices, menus and student reviews. It also offers a Google map of the location of the 100 Evanston and 28 Chicago restaurants it lists.
But it hasn’t been updated in years – the last comment was posted in 2005, and restaurant newcomers are left out.
That could change soon, Student Services Vice President Nate West said, since members of the Student Services committee are interested in updating and expanding the guide.
The new guide would offer reviews not only of restaurants, but of Evanston businesses like hair salons, said Webber, a SESP senior.
“It’s definitely on our agenda, but it’s a little down on our priority list,” Webber said.
