On Nov. 16, 1969, 250,000 people marched on Washington in the biggest Vietnam war protest ever. Next Sunday, the activist group United for Peace and Justice is planning a peace march against the current foreign policy, expected to be the largest of its kind since the invasion of Iraq.
Activism is modernizing, and the baby boomers who accuse our generation of killing the art need to look closer. It’s true that 2007 is not 1967, but technology and higher education might make ours the most active generation yet.
