Who would have thought that President Bush would find common ground with French leftists?
In January the Bush administration filed a brief opposing the University of Michigan’s affirmative action programs. (Northwestern administrators signed a brief that supported Michigan’s programs.) Today, the Supreme Court will consider the constitutionality of those programs.
“(Affirmative action) truly proves the absolute scorn (that those who endorse it feel) for the impoverished.”
This sounds like a quote from the National Review or the Wall Street Journal.
But awhile back, I was amazed to read this sentence, albeit in French, in Lib
