A 35-year-old Skokie woman was arrested Friday for forgery and possession of a stolen automobile.

Forgery

On March 17, the woman used a counterfeit $100 bill to pay for food delivery on the 1800 block of Lemar Ave.

After the delivery driver realized the bill was counterfeit, he reported it to the Evanston Police Department and provided a description of the offender, according to Evanston Police Cmdr. Brian Henry.

Stolen automobile

A rental car company reported an automobile as stolen on March 19 after the vehicle had not been paid for or returned.

The offender originally had the car rental paid for by her boyfriend’s mother. The EPD arrested the offender when they saw the woman driving the stolen vehicle through Evanston on Friday.

No court date has been set for either of these offences.
