A 37-year-old woman reported Thursday that her cousin’s home in the 400 block of Asbury Avenue was damaged while she was away on vacation.

The homeowner, a 36-year-old Evanston resident, said she checked her security cameras while on vacation in Mexico and saw a brick break through her kitchen window. The woman called her cousin about the incident, and her cousin reported it to the police, Evanston Police Department Cmdr. Ryan Glew said.

EPD officers arrived on the scene and secured the perimeter, but there was no one inside and the only damage to the house was the broken kitchen window, Glew said.

There is currently no suspect and no one is in custody.
