The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office concluded Monday that Angel Wilson’s June death was a suicide, Evanston Police Cmdr. Ryan Glew told The Daily in an email.

Wilson, a Weinberg senior from Los Altos, California, died June 22 in her off-campus residence. She was involved in Greek life on campus, Refresh Dance Crew, Northwestern Community Development Corps and the UNITY Charity Fashion Show, according to a June email from Dean of Students Todd Adams.

Glew said EPD has closed the investigation into her death.

Friends described Wilson as “supportive” and a “generous spirit.”

“She was actually this incredibly approachable person and so open-hearted and thoughtful,” close friend and housemate Louise Houghton (Weinberg ’18) told The Daily. “Those kind of people are incredibly hard to find.”
