The second episode of Coming to Cook County looks at 90 Miles Cuban Cafe in Lincolnwood, about a 15 minute drive from Northwestern. At 11 years old, 90 Miles owner Alberto Gonzalez left Cuba as part of a mass exodus known as the Mariel boatlift. He eventually found his way to Cook County, where he strives to share his Cuban culture with customers.
