Northwestern landed its third highly-touted recruit of the 2018 class Thursday, four-star forward Miller Kopp, who announced his decision on Twitter. Kopp joins three-star guard Jordan Lathon and four-star forward Pete Nance as members of the class.

Kopp previously narrowed his choices down to six and picked NU over Georgetown, Butler, Michigan, Vanderbilt and Texas A&M. He’s ranked as the No. 97 player in the country by 247Sports and joins Nance, ranked as the No. 71 player, as players ranked in the top 100 of their class. This is the first time in NU history that the team has had two top-100 players in a class.

After only landing one recruit for the 2017 class in three-star guard Anthony Gaines, coach Chris Collins has already secured commitments from multiple four-star recruits for his 2018 class.

The trio of recruits could help improve a team that will lose seniors Bryant McIntosh, Scottie Lindsey and Gavin Skelly to graduation. They could potentially join a 2018-19 starting five along with Vic Law and Dererk Pardon, who will be seniors that year, to keep the Wildcats near the top of the Big Ten.
