Evanston man killed in Chicago shooting

An Evanston man was shot to death early Monday morning in Chicago’s northwest Ukranian Village neighborhood, police said.
Marlon Pollard, 36, was killed in the 2200 block of West Chicago Avenue while standing in the street. Pollard was shot in the abdomen, face and left leg by someone in a black SUV, a Chicago Police Department official said.
Pollard was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition. According to the Cook County medical examiner’s office, Pollard was pronounced dead just after 2 a.m. He lived in the 1400 block of Darrow Avenue.
No one was in custody for the shooting as of Monday evening.
