INDIANAPOLIS — Senior guard Maggie Lyon has been ruled out for Northwestern’s second round game against Minnesota in the Big Ten Tournament.

Lyon, NU’s second-leading scorer, has been dealing with a lower body injury for the past couple of weeks. The coaching staff has decided to sit her out for a second consecutive game, the team said.

Lyon missed her first game of the season in the Wildcats’ first round win over Wisconsin on Wednesday.

NU takes on fifth-seeded Minnesota at 1:30 p.m. and will play No. 4 Indiana on Friday if it wins.
