Senior guard Maggie Lyon has been ruled out for Northwestern’s opener against Wisconsin in the Big Ten Tournament.
Lyon has been dealing with a lower body injury for the past couple of weeks and the coaching staff decided to sit her out on Wednesday, the team said. She will be reevaluated tomorrow morning if the Wildcats advance to the next round.
No. 12 NU takes on the No. 13 Badgers at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday and will face No. 5 Minnesota if it wins.
