September 30, 2015
A 25-year-old man was arrested early Sunday morning in connection with driving under the influence of ecstasy as well as possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Police said they discovered the man in his car at 12:30 a.m. while he was stopped at a green light at an intersection in the 2400 block of Green Bay Road. The man appeared to be incoherent and told police he had just taken the drug, said Evanston police Cmdr. Joseph Dugan.
After paramedics took the man to get medical attention, police found in the man’s car a glass pipe and a clear plastic bag with what they suspect to be marijuana, Dugan said.
The man was charged with two misdemeanors for driving under the influence and possession of marijuana under 2.5 grams and drug paraphernalia. He is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 4.
