Residential Services added three new staff members this summer, including a new director of residential life.
Deb Schmidt-Rogers, the director of residential life, started in August and will oversee student life and staff development.
Paul Riel, executive director of Residential Services, said he is thrilled to have Schmidt-Rogers.
“She has a national reputation for residential life and has many, many years of experience working in student affairs and in the area of student housing,” he said. “She’ll bring energy to our team that will continue to improve our program.”
In addition, Residential Services hired two new residence directors, Joe O’Geen and Erin Boyce.
O’Geen will oversee four North Campus residence halls including Bobb Hall, McCulloch Hall, College of Cultural and Community Studies and GREEN House. O’Geen last worked as a community coordinator at the University of Maine.
Erin Boyce serves as the residence director for graduate student housing, which includes Engelhart Hall, McManus Living-Learning Center and Seabury. Boyce replaced Kristina Richards, a former residence director who died in March.
