Two arrested in Evanston on prostitution-related charges
September 10, 2014
Two Chicago residents were arrested this week in connection with prostitution and solicitation, police said.
A woman, 45, and a man, 52, were charged Sunday with prostitution and solicitation of a sexual act, respectively.
Police officers were initially called to the 300 block of Howard Street to investigate a reported dispute, Evanston Police Cmdr. Jay Parrott said. After encountering the pair, the officers determined the woman was acting as a prostitute solicited by the man, he said.
Parrott said it is most likely an isolated incident and there is no ongoing investigation.
Both individuals are scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 7. Because both are charged with single misdemeanors, no jail time is expected, Parrott said.
