After President Barack Obama dropped a “Go ‘Cats” to start Dance Marathon, his second in command duplicated the act to end it.

The White House contributed a second celebrity video to DM 2014, coordinated by chief speechwriter Cody Keenan (Weinberg ’02). The video, which takes the form of a mock newscast, features a number of Northwestern alumni who work at or for the White House, including Peter Alexander (Medill ’98), White House correspondent for NBC News, and Shailagh Murray (Medill ’90), Biden’s deputy chief of staff.

In the video, Murray and Sean O’Brien (Weinberg ’96) are talking when Biden walks in.

“Keep dancing,” Biden says. “Go ‘Cats. But Orange, win. Syracuse, win.”

The video also features messages of support from press secretary Jay Carney and National Economic Council director Gene Sperling, and a stuffed Willie the Wildcat doll shaking as presidential helicopter Marine One lands.
