Following two days of weather-related school closures, Northwestern will reopen Wednesday, which will mark the first official day of Winter Quarter.
The University announced Tuesday afternoon it would hold regularly scheduled classes on Wednesday and reopen previously closed offices and libraries. Most nonessential personnel were not on campus during the closures and many students faced difficulty returning to campus due to travel delays and cancellations. University registrar Jaci Casazza said in an emailTuesday the canceled classes “will not be rescheduled en masse.”
The closures marked the first time NU had canceled classes due to winter weather since February 2011.
