Police charged a teenager last week in connection with a November shooting across the street from Evanston Township High School, officials said.
Police arrested the 17-year-old Thursday at his Chicago home and charged him with aggravated battery.
During the Nov. 9 shooting, a 20-year-old Evanston man was shot four times near the intersection of Church Street and Hovland Court. He was not seriously injured, Evanston Police Cmdr. Jay Parrott said in an email. The man told police two men were responsible for the shooting, Parrott said in November.
The teen is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 6.
