A 46-year-old man was shot early this morning in south Evanston, police said.
Officers found the man with a gunshot wound to the upper right leg while responding to a shots fired call about 2:10 a.m. in the 2000 block of Oakton Street, Evanston Police Cmdr. Jay Parrott said. He was taken to St. Francis Hospital, where he is in stable condition.
Parrott said he had no further information this morning.
This is the third shooting involving an Evanston man in a week. Sem Adrien, 26, was shot to death Monday night in Hutchinson, Kan., and his accused killer was arrested two days later. On Tuesday night, Cardereon Preister, 21, was fatally shot near Evanston Township High School.
