The Daily was named a finalist this morning for the Pacemaker award, the highest honor for college newspapers.
The Associated Collegiate Press announced 10 finalists in the four-year daily newspaper category. Judges evaluated papers on their content, layout and in-depth reporting, among other qualities.
The Daily has received the Pacemaker, college journalism’s equivalent of the Pulitzer Prize, six times in the last 11 years.
Winners will be revealed in late October at the National College Media Convention in New Orleans.
