Multiple people are in custody after police responded to reports of shots fired this afternoon near Evanston Township High School.
No one was injured, according to police.
Officers spotted a person fleeing the scene shortly after 4 p.m. in the 1600 block of Dodge Avenue and took him into custody after he briefly gave chase by foot, police said. The officers also found a handgun they believe was used by the person.
Police have several other people in custody in connection with the incident, which is under investigation. Police are not naming the people in custody at this time.
