The U.S. Bank office in Norris University Center will close Thursday to relocate to a larger location on the building’s ground floor, University Services announced Monday.
The bank is moving from its current space on the ground floor to the office previously occupied by FedEx. FedEx cut ties with the University in September when NU chose Quartet Digital Printing as its main printing service.
The bank has been contracted to the new space since Dec. 1 but will not open there until next Monday morning. A celebration for the grand re-opening will be held May 8, featuring speeches by Patricia Telles-Irvin, vice president for student affairs, and Kelly Schaefer, Norris executive director.
Brian Peters, assistant vice president for University Services, said in November the new U.S. Bank office is more than four times larger than the current one and will allow for expanded services.
