Evanston Police on Friday arrested a Chicago man days after he allegedly robbed a Pizza Hut with a threatening note: “Give me the money or you are going to die.”
Warren Morris, 35, robbed the the pizza chain at 951 Howard St. on Wednesday, police said. He unsuccessfully tried to wash the windows for money, then returned an hour later with the handwritten message. He left with $62.
Using video provided by the store, police said they found Morris on Friday near Howard Street, where he was still wearing some of the clothes from the stick-up. Store employees later identified the man in a line-up.
Morris, who was charged with one count of robbery, is scheduled to appear in court April 16.
